Project Manager

THE ROLE

My client, a large firm of construction consultants seeks a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to join them in Birmingham.

Projects will mainly be in the healthcare sector for both private and public sector clients and will include new build, refurbishment, fit out, extensions etc.

My client is a good employer constantly winning awards.

You will carry out the full range of pre contract and post contract services from feasibility through project delivery.

You will deal directly with clients and be able to run your own projects ideally without supervision.

You will be involved in the following duties:- Managing a number of projects concurrently, management of key stage report from feasibility through to hand-over, preparation of programmes, management of meetings, progress reports, running the tender process, manage queries from contractors, dealing directly with the client etc.

THE CLIENT

My client is a successful international firm of construction consultants.

Their project management team is highly successful working with a huge range of clients across the private and public sectors for construction projects across various sectors including healthcare, commercial, residential, industrial and more.

THE CANDIDATE

You will need to have a BSc or BSc Hons in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, Construction Project Management, Engineering, Architecture or another construction / built environment subject.

You will have gained some experience in the project management of healthcare projects.

You also need to have at least four years' minimum experience working as a Project Manager post graduation in the construction industry.

You should have worked for either a firm of construction consultants or possibly with an end user client.

Please note that my client is not seeking candidates who have only worked for contractors.

Experience of running projects from inception through all RIBA stages through to handover is required.

My client seeks candidates who have excellent communication skills (both written and spoken), who are enthusiastic and dynamic to deal with challenging projects and demanding clients and able to work without supervision.

You will need to have a stable work record with known firms.

Salary will be very negotiable according to your current salary and requirements for a new role.
