My clients are looking to expand their Residential Development team in Perth and in search for either a RICS accredited Surveyor, preferably, or maybe a Planner, but someone with some Residential Development experience and an abundance of enthusiasm also! You may have experience in general practice or be a planning graduate with an interest in development work; either is fine.

We are looking for a qualified individual who is a team player, with lots of drive and a good sense of humour too; someone who can be passed work and train up to be a fully-fledged Residential Surveyor.

About your new company

Over the last few years the planning and development team have grown significantly and are involved in developments from substantial new villages to small scale bespoke sites in Scotland.

You will be part of the development team along with 3 other professionals and work closely with the planning, Commercial and Residential Divisions who make up a team of 40 staff in the Perth office.

The Perth office have recently moved into a new, larger open plan office space which offers a modern working environment where you will have the benefit of triple PC screens to utilise!

Main duties will include

In your new role you will be negotiating with house builders and developers, and helping to identify and secure instructions to broker land transactions. Work will include appraisal and report writing on behalf of a wide variety of developers, landowners, corporate and institutional clients. Therefore, a good knowledge of the Scottish planning and legal system is an advantage, together with a good understanding of site appraisal and client management will be required

Person Specification:

A relevant degree in Estate / Rural Management at 2:1 or above or post graduate qualification (ideally in Planning and Development).
Is 'results orientated' and develops internal network of contacts - forging relationships with colleagues.
Awareness and understanding of issues affecting the economy
Strong IT skills, specifically in Microsoft Excel, spreadsheets, Word and report writing
Client care skills - good interpersonal communication both verbal and written.
Attention to detail
Flexible and adaptable
Demonstrates a "Can do" attitude
