If you’ve the drive and vision to play a key role in Basingstoke’s dynamic growth story, this could be the new challenge you’ve been waiting for.

It’s your chance to manage the strategic regeneration of major property developments that are central to the future economic prosperity of this fast-evolving borough.

You will be part of a bold and innovative organisation that has big ambitions - for the borough and for our staff. We do things differently here. We go beyond expectations to nurture and develop our communities and our colleagues as we shape an exciting future for Basingstoke and Deane.

In this newly created role, you will oversee the successful delivery of significant capital projects including Basing View, a 65-acre urban business park within Basingstoke town centre. As well as working collaboratively with our development partner and other stakeholders, you’ll lead occupier engagement initiatives, appoint and oversee external consultants, implement an Enterprise Zone and co-ordinate legal negotiations.

RICS qualified with sound experience of delivering complex commercial property developments, you’ve proved your ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams, identify value engineering opportunities and take projects from conception to completion. Excellent communication, negotiation and decision-making skills are also important.

As one of the most financially resilient local authorities, we can offer an exceptional future within this thriving borough. While London is in easy reach by road or rail, the picturesque South Downs National Park and the North Wessex Downs are both close at hand, as well as North Hampshire’s many historic villages.

So you can look forward to real quality of life, particularly since we offer a very flexible approach to working hours. There’s also an excellent range of benefits including free parking (subject to a waiting list), salary sacrifice scheme for lease cars, healthcare cash plan, pension scheme, generous leave entitlement and more.

The council signs up to the Disability Confident scheme (formerly known as the ‘Two Ticks’ scheme). If you have declared a disability on the application form we can guarantee you an interview if you meet the essential criteria for the job.
