Reporting to the Property Director, the Building Surveyor will be responsible for all properties within the company's portfolio, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget and that all properties comply with company and legal requirements. In addition, the role holder will also be responsible for two direct reports.
Although based in the Wellingborough support centre, there will be some travel throughout the UK.

Main Duties Manage specific projects in line with agreed strategy and standards Ensure the property portfolio meets company and legal requirements Manage the property maintenance budgets and assist in the preparation of the annual property and facilities budget Inspect and diagnose building defects, design and arrange for repairs to be carried out across the UK Property portfolio Liaise with the estate manager regarding landlord repairing responsibilities

Ensure that all property information and records are accurate and up to date Manage contractors and supplier contracts Undertake condition and measured surveys Carry out pre acquisition inspections and prepare reports Carry out schedules of condition and deal with schedules of dilapidation always seeking to limit SATCoL's liability

Essential Skills Degree in Building Surveying (or equivalent) Membership of professional body (RICS/CIOB) Proven experience in managing a property portfolio.
