Job Details
Civil Engineer with good experience of managing consultants and accessing commercial viability of sites invited to join a premium develop and work on developments from an engineering perspective from land viability through planning and site build.

Description
Your main responsibility is to smoothly take schemes forward from site viability to build completion and handover which will include:
- appointing various specialist consultants for technical designs and information on schemes
- ensuring designs from consultants are commercially viable and work with the architectural aspects of a new build development.
- obtaining various section agreements prior to start on site to mitigate challenges during build stages, bond agreements and adoption process, predominantly looking at S38, S278, S104 and S184 (amongst others as required).
- visit site and answer technical queries.
- Ensuring that all necessary utility/services/supplier enquiries, quotations, acceptances and approvals are obtained.
- Assisting in the delivery of effective and relevant legal documentation for each development or phase of development.
Profile
- You will have a civil engineering background, either having obtained a qualification or from several years "on the job".
- You understand both the design and construction sides of the job; you understand how the lines on paper for civil designs relate to architectural designs above and how they'd be constructed on site.
- As such you'll have a keen eye for detail and great communication skills.
- a valid diving licence for making sites visits
- CDM regulations
