Project Controls Engineer / Manager - Chinese speaking

THE ROLE

I am seeking a Project Controls Manager or Project Controls Engineer who speaks fluent Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese) plus reasonable English.

The project is a large pharmaceutical plant based in China in Guangzhou which is being extended.

My client would ideally like permanent staff but will also consider contract / freelance too.

You will work as part of a team of project controls engineers, lead project controls etc.

You will be involved in scope of work, cost, schedule, risk, change and contract management.

You will identify and provide Project Controls resource requirements to the Project Manager etc.

THE COMPANY

My client is a British firm of construction consultants who are working closely with a large firm on this role in China.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be a highly experienced Project Controls Engineer or Project Controls Manager ideally with previous experience of working on pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, data centres or oil and gas projects.

You must speak and write Chinese (Mandarin & Cantonese) and English.

You will understand procurement principals, be able to collage lead times from vendors and the client into the master schedule.

You should have previous experience of working on either Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Life Sciences, Process or Oil & Gas projects and you should have worked on projects with a lot of pipework and manufacturing plant or similar.

You should have good all round project controls experience and it is likely that your background will be as a Planning Engineer, Quantity Surveyor, Project Manager or similar.

You must have excellent communication and organisation skills.

My client will consider candidates on a permanent or contract basis.
