This is an exciting opportunity for a senior level Building Surveyor to join an established Property Team made up of Estate Management, Property Compliance and Building Surveying Services.

We are looking for a passionate Building Surveyor with excellent client management skills to work for an International Disability Charity.

About the role

You will oversee the Charity’s building surveying and building services needs in your geographical area, managing a major capital improvement programme at the same time as ensuring that all PPM, compliance outcomes and reactive maintenance for the designated area is delivered on time and within budget.

You will be responsible for building surveys on both domestic and health care properties, prepare PPM schedules and support the Estates Management team in all matters relating to the leasehold property portfolio. You will liaise closely with our Maintenance Coordinators and Service Managers on site to ensure delivery of works and with Senior Management at a Regional and National level, to provide a strategic approach to property management. You will work with the Compliance Manager to facilitate the large-scale works, resulting from the continual building related legislation compliance programmes along with project management of small to substantial value capital projects and coordinate a diverse range of consultants and specialists

About you

You will have a property related degree and be MRICS/MCIOB or equivalent with extensive experience, and a multi-disciplinary background, of working in a building surveying management role.

You will have a proven track record of managing a varied and challenging workload, and of building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

You will have knowledge of current building regulations and of Health & Safety and CDM regulations.

You will be able to produce clear and concise reports and recommendations, have strong attention to detail and the ability to manage time effectively, prioritising tasks to ensure that deadlines are met
