Residential Building Surveyor

Building Surveyor– Home-based – All locations and levels considered

My client is a large residential property services provider, operating nationally through a network of regional offices and home-based property managers.

Within their Building Surveying team, multiple opportunities have arisen for Building Surveyors, from Graduate through to Chartered status and all levels in between.

With a residential project bias these roles will specialise in:

• Residential Block inspections for the purpose of identifying defects and maintenance requirements.
• Writing Specifications and Tenders
• Handover inspections from new build, working with developers to identify snagging issues
• Fire risk assessments, managing any remedial works relating to cladding etc.
• Major works project management
• Contractor oversight

Suitable Building Surveyors will have 2 years’ experience (or more) and a background in residential project work. Whilst professional qualification is desirable, it isn’t essential and our client will support those Building Surveyors keen to obtain MRICS (through the APC) or similar whilst on the job.

In terms of location, our client covers the whole of the UK so Building Surveyors who meet the criteria are invited to apply regardless of base.

Whilst working from home and site for the majority of their time, the successful Building Surveyor will report to our client’s Hertfordshire head office as required and enjoy a basic salary ranging from £25-50k to start (depending on experience) plus company car or allowance.
