The Challenge
The C2 Regional Assurance Manager is a new, key role, working in a busy, team-oriented, organisation overseeing the integrity of regional outputs via the service delivery of a National Total FM contract. This role necessarily fills an organisational gap in expertise and gives individuals an exciting opportunity to use and develop their, and other colleagues, knowledge to better position DIO UK Trg to meet its commitment to compliance. In what is a growth area, the role will be busy, highly influential across the business area, with some travel opportunities and allow the opportunity for personal development.

Desirable Experience & Skills

Desirable - Previous experience in an assurance role.
Desirable - Previous experience in a Contract Management role.
Desirable – Previous military experience in a military logistic and assurance position.
Desirable - Mechanical and Electrical qualifications.
Desirable - B C and E driver qualifications.

Main Responsibilities

Undertake 1st line Assurance activity on all aspects of contractually required Service Delivery, including DIO's 6 pillars of compliance - Fuel Safety, Fire Safety, Gas Safety, Asbestos, Legionella and Electrical Safety - for all UK Trg sites in respective regions. To include cyclical and ad-hoc assurance of all relevant, contractually required documentation, such as Management Plans, inspection regimes as well as delivery processes enacted and validation of the IP's self-assurance processes. Wherever possible, assurance activity should be carried out jointly with the Industry Partner in the interests of promoting improvement and collaboration.

Act as a focal point within UK Trg for all Safety Alerts and Technical Bulletins requiring action. Liaise and co-ordinate with the Industry Partner, and UK Trg staff in the regions if required, to derive appropriate responses to DIO Technical Services as required.

Act as a focal point in region for all tasks relating to Technical Compliance received from HQ UK Trg liaising directly with the relevant Technical Assurance Manager as required to better facilitate the provision of the detail. Coordinating with the Industry Partner, collate and validate responses as necessary before passing back to DIO HQ UK Trg. This will also build assurance that all UK Trg sites are prepared for and support adequately and in a timely manner all 2nd line assurance activity.

Attend relevant site visits. For example, the Industry Partner's Self-Assurance Audit Programme to promote joint assurance and/or DIO OS & Trg Compliance Audits to provide regional perspective as necessary, providing comment where required.

Provide 1st line SME advice to UK Trg regional staff on assurance matters. Support HQ UK Trg staff in discussion with the Industry Partner over regional issues and experience, and act as the conduit in regions dealings with DIO HQ UK on all assurance matters. Attendance at various, periodic, contractually based meetings will also be required.

Provide 1st Line Assurance to the Regional Commander to ensure compliance with military (e.g. logistics, transport, equipment care and finance) and business (e.g. catering and business continuity) accounting and delivery processes.

Act as the Senior Fund Manager for the non-public fund account.
