We are currently working with a leading real estate consultancy who are looking to hire a Valuation Surveyor from a Residential or Commercial Valuation background to join their affordable housing team. This team is a leading advisor to Housing Associations and they conduct portfolio valuations, as well as large scale loan security valuations. In a nutshell Housing Associations mortgage their existing stock in order to fund new development projects. The funding structures of these developments can often be complex, with a number of stakeholders, this all leads to this being a very interesting area of valuation to work within.
You will be joining a very successful team who form part of a national division. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to join or progress their career within the affordable housing sector. The other advantage is this sector is very recession-proof, as the need for affordable and social housing is ever present. Additionally, because of the amounts of funding involved and the scale of the developments this attracts significant fees, and therefore the opportunity to earn a very attractive bonus is there.
The role will include independently undertaking valuation instructions, reporting to clients, liaising with sub-contractors regarding inspections and market research and winning additional work for the team.
- MRICS qualified
- Portfolio Valuation experience
- Commercial/Residential Valuation background/methodologies
- Discounted cash-flow models
- Knowledge of complex investment valuations
- Large residential scheme experience
