A leading firm of property consultants have instructed Beach Baker to recruit a RICS qualified Director / Partner level Rating Surveyor to join the growing Business Rates team in Bristol.

Candidates will need to demonstrate the ability to provide first class Rating advice and client management skills combined with the ability to take on professional negotiations with the Valuation Office.

Working with a large existing client base whilst demonstrating the ability to generate new business opportunities, the successful candidate will have extensive Rating Surveying experience. You will advise corporate occupiers, property companies, developers and investor clients throughout the UK on all aspects of Business Rates consultancy. Dealing with appeals through to the tribunal you should be confident in dealing with colleagues and clients, at all levels, delivering consistently high level assistance through effective communication, prioritisation, multi-tasking and with a great attitude to succeed.

The successful candidate will be able to work on their own initiative, maintain and grow existing client relationships, negotiate effectively and generate new business opportunities. The role will suit an experienced RICS qualified surveyor (at least 5 years PQE in Rating) and the candidate should have a deep understanding of the complexities of Rating surveying and negotiation.
