Our client is an international project management consultancy based in the heart of London looking for a Senior Project Manager to join their corporate occupier team to work on a range of projects.

Key responsibilities:

  • Providing a high‐quality, self-motivated, self‐sufficient and effective Project Management service, that understands the needs of the business, the client’s style, technical requirements and the underlying principles of creating workspace
  • Managing construction and fit-out projects in line with workplace process, ensuring compliance with all governance processes and standards, from inception to practical completion
  • Managing the external consultant and design team
  • Appointing and managing the contractor
  • Liaising with colleagues within the clients and other stakeholders key functions to develop the Project Brief, cost plans, schedule, milestones and risks
  • Understanding and challenging the Project Brief and applying skills and experience to ensuring the Brief is right
  • Ensuring the appropriate resources are allocated to all Projects – including M&E engineers, architects and designers, CDM-C consultants, specialist consultants.
  • Working closely with IT so that technical infrastructure requirements are considered and implemented accordingly
  • Managing construction and FF&E procurement
  • Maintaining up to date details of all Projects under management within the Project Tracker system to ensure information is available in real time
  • Capturing lessons learnt and supporting continuous improvement of the Project delivery process
  • Being across best practices in Project Management across all relevant sectors of industry.

Key requirements:
 

  • An accredited professional Project Management qualification (APM/ CIOB/ RICS etc)
  • Proven and varied construction Project Management experience, including a variety of undertakings in the workplace sector
  • Proven team leadership experience, of both “in-house” and external resources
  • A detailed knowledge of UK construction legislation, regulations and code
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Project finance
  • Good communication, interpersonal, presentation and creative skills
  • An ability to develop, maintain and enhance relationships with a variety of internal and external clients, suppliers and contractors at all levels
  • A thirst for new ideas and thinking, an effective industry network, multiple sources of research and information, and a demonstrable CPD record
  • An assertive and strong leader who knows how to get the best out of project team and specialists, driving creative solutions
  • Highly organised, able to quickly predict and identify potential issues, deep-dive to find solutions
  • Passionate about workplace and construction, seeing great concepts translated into reality and creating market leading new environments that positively affect end user experience and productivity
