Our Client is a Major Student Accommodation Investor and Operator who has a Global exposure & portfolio. You will sit in the Real Estate Investment Management arm, working alongside the Global Head of Capital to secure and manage all of the REIM'S debt requirements.

Description

Business:

Support the Global Head of Debt Capital to secure and manage all The REIM's debt requirements and following through on key actions and deliverables

• Supporting and leading as needed during the sourcing process for new debt arrangements on research, financial analysis, NDA's, teasers, terms sheet reviews, 3rd party advisor coordination, internal/ external partners and interest rate hedging analysis.
• Work closely with the Portfolio and Fund Management teams to manage existing arrangements, documentation, covenant responsibilities and reporting accordingly
• Conduct due diligence (financial, legal, operational etc) for target institutions

Client Interaction:

• Support the Global Head for Debt in key meetings and interactions with domestic and international banking partners, debt advisory and other service partners.
• Assist in building and maintaining strong relationships and become a point of escalation for banking and advisory partners across multiple markets
• Prepare pitch-books/presentations and relevant information packs for client meetings and banks
• Conduct relevant market research and appropriate due dligence to assist with the origination of new debt in existing markets and new global market entry.

Risk Management:

• Learn and manage a variety of compliance and business reporting systems, processes and procedures
• Prepare debt memorandum to summarize findings for internal and debt investment committees
• Ensure full compliance with regulatory and industry best practice
• Liason with the transaction team, supporting debt risk management activities and process as part of the internal investment committee process
• Liaising with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of debt transactions.
