As the country begins to heave itself out of the depression of Covid 19, one of the industries to have seen sustain growth is the Construction Industry - In particular Rights of Light as seen one of strongest years on record.

With a pipeline of work that is fit to burst secured for the next year, my client is looking to bring on-board an experience Rights of Light CAD Technician to join their Neighbourly Matters team. The position offers exposer to a plethora of interested projects situated across the United Kingdom. Uniquely, due to the high level of Rights of Light surveying involved they can offer full APC support for individuals wishing to become a Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.

The company in question are a leading Building Consultancy, employing over 100 staff offering services across Building Surveying, Project Management, Cost Consultancy and Rights of Light. They are a leading presence in the London Commercial market with a diverse range of service lines, meaning employees are given the opportunity to experience a wide portfolio of work. You will be reporting directly to the head of department and will be given the opportunity to be part of this already successful team as they continue to expand over the coming years.

The successful Candidate?

  • Experience of undertaking rights of light and daylight and sunlight analyses using MBS surveying software.
  • Experience of constructing and assembling 3D models using AutoCAD and working with architectural and surveying 2D and 3D CAD data.
  • Some knowledge of the surveying and legal principles upon which rights of light and daylight & sunlight assessments are based, and the source of such principles including BRE methodology and RoL case law.
