Carriera are working with a leading independent practice of chartered surveyors, who are seeking a senior building surveyor to join their team in Essex.
The business works throughout the private and public sector, providing expertise in building surveying, cost management, project management, employers agent, CDM and health and safety.
The opportunity has come about due to repeat business and a number of new bids sufficing within the private residential, office and education space. The workload will include a mix of project and professional services, including FRA, fund monitoring, defect reports, and project works including preparing tender documents, as well as post contract administrator duties. Projects are procured via JCT intermediate and JCT design & build valued up to circa £8m.
This is a critical appointment as the successful applicant will become a lead within the next year to years.
The type of individual, they are looking for will have a minimum of 3 years PQE. It is essential that you are well rounded, confident in retaining and developing new and existing business, as well as the appetite to look at ways of developing service line.
You will be working closely with the main director and running a small team, so it is important that you are personable, with an interest in helping those whether it be APC or project related.
In return the business will pay up to £65,000 for the right individual plus bonus. You will receive 26 days holiday, pension, fees, expenses as well as company mobile and laptop.
