A multidisciplinary consultancy practice that focus on supporting the Public Sector and public facing private service providers such as Local Authorities, Academy Trusts Healthcare providers and Social Housing providers. Which have a very exciting trajectory for 2020/21 having enjoyed strong growth, even through these current unprecedented Covid times. As part of the continued need to build the business, they are now in a position to bolster the team by adding another senior strategically important position.

They pride themselves on offering a wide range of expert, specialist services, through operating across the Public Sector Estates, Asset Management and Contract Management environments; with a specialism in supporting public sector clients engaged in PFI contracts. We work with some of the biggest Authorities in the UK and have a track record in positively affecting value for money for its clients across all aspects of the built environment.


Your new role
The role will be a Building surveyor and Estates compliance manager, the post holder will be reviewing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and and implementation and lifecycle delivery against contractual obligations. Evaluating performance quality, value for money, and providing a technical review of projects.

Breaking down this role, the post holder will assist the clients from a technical stand point, to be able to mange contracts and apply their technical knowledge with a capacity to present their position professionally and clearly to PFI contractors in the education and healthcare setting, to maximise the investment for the client.

What you'll need to succeed
Communication and technical ability will put you in good stead for this role. As the post holder will have to discuss and portray the needs and musts of the client against the contract and hold there own when being scrutinised on matters.

Background

- Building surveyor/ QS / Engineer - (Need to be able to articulate complex estate issues to non-technical clients.)
- A degree in Building surveying or relative degree.
- Being chartered is desirable
- Must have experience in Capital works and Refurbishments
- Experience in Education and Healthcare setting desirable.
- Knowledge and experience with PFI contracts is desirable.


What you'll get in return
A competitive salary of 40k-45k per annum depending on experience.

The post holder will have the ability to work from home with visiting site from 2 to 3 days a week helping clients the best value. With this said it allows you to utilise all your communication and technical skills, to be a trustworthy consultant advising the end user client to optimise the PFI contracts which intern will build strong relationships.
