Graduate Building Surveyor – Windsor Great Park

The Windsor Estate covers approximately 6,400 hectares and includes Windsor Great Park, the Home Park of Windsor Castle, extensive forests and around 1000 built structures including 650 residential and 150 commercial properties, bridges, statues, golf courses and let farms.

About the Role

Reporting to the Building Surveyor, you will be an integral part of an in-house team responsible for all aspects of the conservation, maintenance, repair and improvement work to the Estate’s portfolio including Listed and Heritage buildings.

Key responsibilities will include preparing detailed AutoCAD drawings, specifications, schedules of work and contract documentation, competitive tendering, contract supervision and managing refurbishment projects end to end. You will work closely with the Building Surveyor assisting with a diverse and very interesting workload.

The successful candidate will have or be working towards a relevant degree level qualification (RICS accredited) or Diploma in Building Surveying ideally with some experience in the construction industry.  Candidates must have an interest in traditional residential construction and the conservation of Listed and Heritage buildings alongside experience of AutoCAD and an interest in design and detailing. Knowledge of current building related legislation and health and safety regulations would be beneficial. 

We will provide excellent training and support to the successful candidate to achieve MRICS Chartered Surveyor status.
