Information Manager - BIM - temp to perm vacancy - Nottinghamshire Consultancy


Your new company
A Global Property and Construction consultancy are looking to add an Information Manager to their Quantity Surveying and Cost Management team due to an increased workload. You will initially to start on a temporary contract in January with a view of going permanent for the right candidate. This is a full time role based in the consultancies Nottingham offices. In this role as a project professional, you will be responsible for delivering the Information Management role for BIM projects and will be responsible for providing associated support to the business in respect of BIM related activities.

Your new role
In your new role you will be assisting clients through the briefing stage to compile their requirements for the Information Requirements (EIRs, AIRs, PIRs, OIRs) and advising on and implementing information management strategies. You will be responsible for meeting with FM providers and estates teams to establish Asset Information Requirements. You will be establishing, procuring, configuring and managing a Common Data Environment and undertaking duties throughout the Project as set out within the ISO 19650 suite of standards and the UK BIM Framework guidance documents. You will evaluate and report on BIM Execution Plans and will be responsible for assessing delivery teams' BIM capabilities and BIM-related Tender responses.

In your new role, you will be reviewing model and information outputs at practical completion and handover for compliance with client asset information requirements established for the project and will be responsible for reviewing new standards in relation to BIM and associated service delivery. Additionally, you will be responsible for assisting with preparation and delivery of training content around IM and BIM for internal project teams and will implement software to support BIM related activities and other digital initiatives in the preparation of submissions and fee proposals for Information Manager appointments.

What you'll need to succeed

  • You will have a clear understanding of legislation impacting on building contracts.
  • Sound knowledge of ISO 19650 suite of standards and the UK BIM Framework guidance documents.
  • Practical experience of Information Management according to ISO19650.
  • Cohesive knowledge of construction contract forms and procurement routes.
  • Experience of using a Common Data Environment.
  • BIM/ISO19650 qualification (preferable but not essential.
  • Full member of a relevant professional association/institute or a commitment to attain a full member status.

You will have the ability to think methodically and prioritise your workload as well as having strong negotiation and problem solving skills. You will have good financial and numeracy management skills and will have the ability to absorb complex information and assess requirements readily.
