Building/ Construction Manager

We have an exciting permanent job opportunity for a Building/ Construction Manager for a privately owned country estate in Suffolk. The Estate includes around 225 cottages/farmhouses (many are listed or lie within Conservation Areas), and a number of offices, commercial, and agricultural buildings. You will be working with a broad range of property types which include; timber, steel frame, stone built, listed and historic buildings.
Your new role
We are seeking a full time, well organised individual to manage planned, and reactive property repairs and maintenance on the Estate properties, using both external contractors, and two employed builders. As Building Manager, you will be required to complete any required design work and to ensure compliance with building regulations and local planning requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have a recognised construction or property related professional qualification such as MCIOB, MRICS, MCABE, MCIAT. In addition it will be essential that the new Building Manager is proficient in the use of a computer aided design package such as AutoCAD or SketchUp, as you will be required to complete design work for any capital projects which may arise. A detailed knowledge of CDM, Building Regulations and Planning are also essential.
What you'll get in return
In return we're offering a fantastic salary in the region of £44,000 - £55,000 dependant on experience and the opportunity to join an interesting yet secure organisation with a varied property portfolio and workload.
