Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Estates Surveyor, to help ensure that the Council’s diverse portfolio of land and building assets remain efficiently managed to maximise income and facilitate the delivery of the Council’s key objectives.

The role includes undertaking property inspections of land and property for all purposes in connection with the management of the Council’s property holdings including for valuations, repair, condition, compliance with covenants, preparation of schedules or inventories as well as to negotiate terms for the acquisition, disposal, lease restructuring, development and management of Council land and property.

Working in a small team you will find this role to be both challenging and varied with no two days being the same. Your expertise will be sought by a wide range of colleagues and you will work closely with other Council departments, senior managers and Members as well as with external consultants.

As well as possessing excellent communication skills you will have extensive knowledge and experience of property and estates management. In view of the emphasis on property and estates expertise, the Council are seeking a candidate who is RICS qualified.
