Long term opportunity for a Building Surveyor to join a housing association on an initial interim contract
Your new company
As a technical Building Surveyor you will join one of the UK's leading providers of social and affordable housing, with a large number of properties located in the south west and southern UK regions. Your new company manage and maintain over 40,000 homes and are responsible for asset worth over £1 billion in value.
Your new role
You will join a local team as a Building Surveyor in a varied role which will include regular visits to properties and a high level of tenant liaison. Your role will include visiting properties with known issues to undertake a more detailed diagnosis, before producing a report on issues and advising on the course of action to repair. Many of the issues will be damp and mould related, which could be caused by other underlying property issues.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this role you'll need to have previous experience working in a social housing environment as a technical Building Surveyor. You must have previously worked in a role which has required technical property inspections and complex defect diagnosis.
What you'll get in return
You'll receive an initial interim contract with duration of an initial four months, although this is highly likely to extend further, and could progress into a permanent position. You'll be paid a competitive hourly rate of pay, either on a PAYE or PSC basis.
