Hays have been exclusively retained by a market leading, principal fit out contractor, who have a requirement for a Quantity Surveyor to join their Estimating Team. This requirement comes from a consistently strong order book being bolstered with the recent addition of large scale commercial projects. This continued growth has therefore led to the permanent requirement for an experienced Quantity Surveyor.


Your new role

As a Quantity Surveyor you will join an experienced Estimating Team reporting into the Commercial Manager. You will be responsible for the cost management of projects, producing bills of quantities, estimating and cost planning. You will be involved with full pre and post contract quantity surveying, attending site meetings and design briefings, alongside preparing interim valuations and site measurement.

What you'll need to succeed


To be considered for this role you will have 2-3 years' experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within a similar role. It is essential that you have a Quantity Surveying Degree or equivalent and you must have a strong understanding of the lifecycle of a construction project. You must have experience in producing Bills of Quantities and have the ability to read drawings. You will be a highly organised and motivated individual who holds attention to detail in the highest regard and can take full responsibility for controlling blue chip client expectations whilst ensuring a high volume of repeat business orders are maintained
