Technical Adviser in the Construction Procurement Policy Unit
The Construction Procurement Policy Unit of the Office of Government Procurement has responsibility for all policy aspects associated with the procurement of works contractors and construction-related service providers.
The unit chairs and provides a secretariat to the Government Contracts Committee for Construction, the forum for policy formation in relation to public works contracts and tendering procedures.
The Technical Adviser will be a key member of the Construction Procurement Policy team that will develop the next generation of the Capital Works Management Framework (CWMF) and deliver the Business as Usual (BAU) activities.
The successful candidate will:
- Hold a Degree level qualification in a construction-related discipline (at least a Level 7, National Qualifications Framework) or equivalent;
- Be a person named, or be eligible to be named on a register maintained pursuant to Part 3 (Registration of Architects) or Part 4 (Registration of Quantity Surveyors) of the Building Control Act 2007 or Section 7 of the Institution of Civil Engineers of Ireland (Charter Amendment) Act 1969;
- Have significant experience in the delivery of construction projects post final degree qualification;
- Have good working knowledge of the Capital Works Management Framework.
