Our client is one the most well established and reputable Property and Construction Consultancy's in the UK with an enviable reputation for service delivery excellence.
They are currently looking for a Clerk of Works or COW to come and join their existing team of 15 Clerk of Works based in Winchester
This is a role that would have you working remotely and inspecting New Build Residential sites in and around Winchester.
As an experienced Clerk of Works you should be I.T proficient as you will be compiling reports to send back to the Director. an IPAD will be provided.
You must have a good knowledge of the specific building type in hand and the design standards that apply to this (i.e. a block of flats ). The appointed person must be vigilant in their inspections of a large range of technical aspects of the work and must have a thorough knowledge of CDM and related construction H&S legislation. The individual must additionally be sufficiently experienced to understand, identify and execute the required testing of the works. This will be quite specialist, particularly the MEP installations. The CoW/APM will be expected to inspect civil / structural and MEP installations.
You should also be a member of an affiliate governing body related to Clerk of Works - ICWCI
This really is an excellent opportunity if you are not looking to be office based and can work remotely as well as adhering to social distancing when attending sites.
Due to the nature of this position our client is also willing to consider experienced Building Surveyors who are looking to take on less responsibility.
