We are excited to be working in partnership with a niche firm of Chartered Surveyors with a legacy dating back over 150 years, enabling property and land owners and developers to maximise their investments in both commercial property and residential land sectors. Specialising in development, acquisitions & disposals, property management and investment, they operate out of their single office in the historic market town of Saffron Walden. Due to growth of the business the firm is currently looking to appoint a Property Management Surveyor (preferably RICS qualified) . All the partners started their careers at large corporates in London and the firms ethos is to offer a high quality service in a professional and straightforward manner.

Your new role
Over the years this organisation has formed long lasting relationships with their corporate clients and as a Property Manager you will be responsible for the management of a wide variety of commercial property from vacant sites and multi let industrial estates to large distribution warehouses, retail parks and HQ office buildings. You will be liaising with tenants, contractors and clients and be responsible for resolving any issues that may arise in addition to undertaking regular property inspections, supervising rent collection/credit control dealing with service charges, lease renewals and vacant space and ensuring compliance with lease obligations and all aspects of Health and Safety and regulation.

What you'll need to succeed
As the Property Manager you will need to be MRICS qualified or a late stage APC candidate. You will need to have experience in managing prime commercial property, dealing with service charges, health and safety and compliance you will also need a working knowledge of Landlord and Tenant legislation and valuation and have good attention to detail. Experience in lease renewals and rent reviews would be helpful. The successful candidate will need to be personable, have good communication and negotiation skills and be adaptable as we are a small general practice office and you may need to assist in other areas of the business if required.
