The Borough of Dartford is a dynamic and exciting place, which is seeing a significant amount of regeneration and growth, making it a place of choice for living, working and enjoying leisure time.

The Council has recently approved a new corporate restructure, which will ensure it is in a strong position to face the many challenges ahead. As part of this restructure, the Council is recruiting a Valuer, responsible for dealing with the acquisition and disposal of freehold and leasehold property (excluding council housing), granting of licences, rent reviews, lease breaks, renewals, extensions and expiries, tenancies at will, licences to occupy, dilapidations, valuations and general estate and property management advice etc.

The successful candidate will be part of a diverse team dealing with a range of property matters, driving regeneration and income opportunities and must be able to manage competing demands and be an effective communicator.

If you are RICS qualified (or equivalent) and are experienced in property valuation matters, in either the private or public sector (or ideally in both), then we would be keen to hear

This post is considered by DBC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.

37 hours per week, Monday – Friday.  Free parking. Flexi-time available.
