Project Manager / Project Co-ordinator - Frankfurt

THE ROLE

I am seeking a Project Manager or Project Co-ordinator in the Building Construction industry who has good or fluent German and good English to join a growing firm of construction consultants in Frankfurt to work on construction projects across South Germany.

You will be responsible for project managing a number of projects concurrently.

Projects are mainly rebranding and fitting out of hotels with some other projects following on.

You will work on projects from feasibility to project delivery and you will deal with international clients through to contractors on site.

THE COMPANY

My client is a successful firm of construction consultants providing clients with Project Management, Cost Management and Construction Management services.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be Degree qualified in a construction related subject e.g. Construction Management, Construction Project Management, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Property, Civil Engineering etc.

Ideally you may also be Chartered i.e. MICE, MCIOB, MRICS or similar.

You will need to have gained around six to ten years experience in a building construction related role and have gained a number of years in project management working on projects from inception through delivery.

Ideally you will have worked on fit out projects for offices, hotels or similar and possibly have some experience of new build projects too.

You will ideally have been working for a firm of building construction consultants or worked client-side.

You should be able to create the planning phase tender documents and negotiate and deal with award of contracts and appointments.

You will need experience of liaising with planners, contractors and statutory authorities.

You must have a good understanding of all commercial and economic aspects of construction projects.

Ideally you will have gained some experience of working in Germany.

You will need fluent German and good English.

You will either be a German candidate who may have also gained some experience working in the UK or with a UK firm in Germany, or you will be British with fluent German. Other nationalities will be considered according to experience.

Good communication skills are essential and you must have the ability to deal with people at all levels.

Excellent prospects for ambitious candidates who are well organised with excellent client facing skills.

Salary is negotiable according to experience but in the region of Euro 70000 to 800000 per annum plus a bonus dependent on performance.
