Your new role

As a Maintenance Surveyor you will contribute to the day to day running of organisation's premises. Working as part of a team you will ensure that the organisation's buildings are clean & tidy, well maintained and that building and facilities processes are up to date, robust and tested. As a Maintenance Surveyor, you will provide construction design and project support for the organisation from initial concept through to handover and finally project account completion. This would include assisting in developing client briefs including evaluating and interpretation, assist with preparing cost estimates and schedule of works, and act as a project lead for design work and maintenance of project schedule. You will also be required to prepare drawings, schedule and specifications for allied disciplines within projects teams and across the organisation, this would also include preparing tender documents, contracts and maintaining site supervision of contracts to ensure compliance with specification.


What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this position as a Maintenance Surveyor it is essential you have experience of effectively using CAD and a broad range of site inspection experience (including supervisory) within domestic and commercial sectors. Due to broad range and variety of buildings you must have a broad range of construction surveying experience and show a good understanding of construction design and maintenance problems and associated issues. To be successful within this Building Works Officer role it is essential you have working Project management experience, including project design and have strong examples of successful project delivery. Ideally you will hold a professional qualification appropriate to the remit of the role or equivalent in experience, as well as hold a CSCS card Experience of commercial valuations in accordance with the RICS, CIPFA and Accounting Standard will also be preferable.
