Senior Portfolio Surveyor (Education & Wellbeing) - Strategic Asset Management & Investment
£39,880 – £41,881 per annum

At Bridgend County Borough Council, we’re transforming the way we manage our property estate. We manage a diverse property portfolio, from schools to industrial estates from care homes to market stalls. We’ve changed to a Corporate Landlord approach bringing together the different management teams that lead our property, design, hard and soft Facilities Management teams.
A vacancy has arisen for a Senior Portfolio Surveyor to join the Education and Wellbeing Property Portfolio Team.
As Team leader you will be the strategic lead for all Education and Wellbeing assets within the portfolio, as well as providing professional property advice as required on Council’s wider estate. You will exercise commercial judgement and financial acumen in the proactive management of the portfolio, including acquisitions, new school developments, management, Health & Safety complance and disposals, to ensure maximum value for our customers and the Council.
We are looking for a Professional member of the RICS with an extensive experiencing of managing a diverse property portfolio. You will be a strong team player with an ability to work proactively, demonstrating clear, creative and strategic thinking. Good inter-personal skills and an ability to work on your initiative, using a variety of IT Systems and proprietary software packages are essential.
The role will require you to inspect and attend meetings at a variety of properties around the Borough so a full driving licence and access to personal transport is essential.
Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.
