Building Surveyor

Your new company
My client is a multi-disciplinary construction and property consultancy. They have been established for nearly 3 decades and partner with the public sector within social housing, education, central and local government as well as within the private sector. Projects range from new build, refurbishment, and maintenance programmes.

They have recently been awarded a programme of works to assist in completing surveys for EWS1 Certifications, and as a result need a building surveyor to help them complete the project.

Your new role
In the role of Building Surveyor you will be tasked with making assessment and recommendations for required works as part of stage 1 of the EWS1 survey, these will be determined from drone surveys (already completed) where you will put a report together detailing the required work to be carried out.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered for this role you will need to have the following: knowledge of H&S legislation and CDM Regulations, able to identify building defects and preparing specifications, you will need to have an understanding of external wall systems and fire stopping within cladding, although no formal qualification is required. This role would suit a junior or graduate surveyor looking to gain further experience within a surveying consultancy.

What you'll get in return
This will be a day rate of up to £180 per day, out of scope at the moment, if and when the IR35 legislation changes in the financial new year, the rate may change or a more longer term solution sort.
