Description

The Senior Principal Project Manager - Major Capital Projects will be responsible for:

• The execution and successful delivery of major projects to the criteria established by the Client within a planned/ prescribed timescale and to an agreed budget.
• Acting as the Senior Corporation Technical/Construction representative on all projects allocated.
• Assisting in the development of Project Management as an essential divisional, departmental and corporate skill set.

Profile

The successful candidate will:

• Have Chartered Membership recognised professional body i.e. RICS, CIBSE, IOB, ICE or I StrucE.
• Have Practitioner level membership of APM.
• Be able to demonstrate their experience of working at a Senior Principal level.
• Demonstrate significant experience of managing external contractors, consultants, and specialists.
• Have project managed multi-million construction projects.
• Be competent in negotiating and agreeing the scope, deliverables and timings on major initiatives.
• Be comfortable presenting contentious and subjective reports to stakeholders concerning project strategy, programmes, budgets and outputs.
• Have experience of negotiating with outside agencies, including solicitors, contractors and multi-disciplinary consultants and other stakeholders on project strategy, programmes, budgets and outputs
