A major global property consultancy with presence in London and across the UK are looking to recruit a Partner to play a pivotal role in growing their Business Rates division in London.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a marketing plan for internal and external market place
  • Budgetary P&L responsibility
  • Oversee the provision of advice on business rates reliefs and administration services around rates payments and collection advice in a professional and motivated team
  • Recruit, manage and lead a team alongside co-Directors
  • Provide oversight on a wide range of projects and with a challenging and varied workload
  • Client relationship management, reporting and pitching for new business with colleagues from other departments
  • Work towards timelines to help maintain high client service standards
  • Assist in other departments in completing CDP in order to gain competencies for APC students

 

Skills / Experience Required 

  • Min. 10 years’ experience in Business Rates
  • Experienced in overseeing appeal strategy, rates management, audit, reliefs and empty rates legislation
  • Experience of all major asset classes – healthcare/alternative sectors are highly desirable but not essential
  • Strong network of contacts in the VOA
  • Experience in business development and identifying/winning contracts
  • Experience of leading and motivating a team
  • An energetic and motivated professional with natural drive and innovative flair
  • A clear thinking person demonstrating attention to detail
  • Can demonstrate track record in meeting financial targets
  • Ability to work in a close team environment
  • RICS, IRRV or equivalent
