Director Construction and Built Environment

Macdonald and Company is proud to be working exclusively with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) to help them to recruit the most senior professional leader.  We are looking for a Director level candidate to lead within the RICS on construction and built environment matters, globally. This is a unique opportunity and will be attractive to professionals with a strong desire to contribute towards shaping policy and property matters on some of the biggest issues the profession is facing on a global scale.

 

The role holder is accountable, along with a team of senior professionals, for maintaining trusted RICS standards and related professional development within the construction and built environment sectors.  Critical areas encompassed within the scope of this role include commercial planning / management of construction, project management, building surveying, building control, and wider building / construction safety.

 

To be considered for this role it is likely that you will be RICS qualified with a genuine desire to contribute towards shaping policy and process within the profession. You must have relevant sector-based expertise with a deep understanding and passion for the importance of excellence in professional surveying to society. You will be capable of engendering trust and confidence with senior public and market stakeholders, capable of projecting RICS’ brand credibly in an international environment. This is a client/public facing role and as such you must be confident in public speaking and leading industry forums as an ambassador for the RICS.
