Senior Specialist - Construction & Built Environment

Macdonald and Company is proud to be working exclusively with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) to help them to recruit a Senior Specialist within the construction and built environment team.  This role will assist and advise on shaping policy and property matters within the construction and built environment pathways. As part of a senior specialist team, the role’s principal purpose is to develop and maintain a body of trusted, sector focussed standards and related professional development for the chartered surveying profession.

To be considered for this role it is likely that you will be RICS qualified with a genuine desire to contribute towards shaping policy and process within the profession.  Ideally your experience will be broad and sit across a range of disciplines.  There are 5 pathways within this division; Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Infrastructure and Building Control.

This is a client / public facing role and as such you must have an ambition to speak publicly, sit on the panel for industry forums and act as an ambassador for the RICS.  This role has a substantial level of external profile with the profession and its sector-based stakeholders and is critical to ensuring RICS engenders confidence and trust.
