Principal Building Surveyor - Devon

PRINCIPAL BUILDING SURVEYOR REQUIRED FOR A PERMANENT ROLE WITHIN PUBLIC SECTOR CORPORATE PROPERTY

Your new company
You will join a public sector landlord based in the Devon region who are responsible for the maintenance, statutory compliance, development and continuous improvement of a commercial property portfolio reaching areas of natural beauty, historic coastline and buildings.

Your new role
As a Principal Building Surveyor you will take a lead across wider property team, overseeing refurbishments, refits, alterations and smaller capital project works. Your role will involve supervising project design phases, creating specifications and schedules of works and supervising contractors. You'll also take a lead in pulling together PPM schedules, ensuring the service is providing value for money, and lead on procurement exercises.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed you'll need to have prior experience working in a principal level Building Surveying role delivering a wide range of projects on public or commercial property. Ideally you'll have experience in design using AutoCAD, as well as leading on planned maintenance and day to day maintenance programmes. You'll need to be MRICS or MCIOB and have a Building Surveying degree or similar.

What you'll get in return
In return you will receive a permanent salary of between £40,000 - £45,000 alongside contributory pension scheme and a wide range of further employment benefits. You'll also have an opportunity to work from home.
