Estates Officer

Macdonald & Company are currently working on an Estates Officer vacancy with a client based in East London offering up to £33k p.a.

This is a fantastic opportunity for somebody looking to grow within an organisation with exposure to a wide range of commercial estate management responsibilities. 

Our client has outlined their commitment to offer APC support with continued progession within the team in 12-18 months. 

This successful candidate will be;

- Preparing, procuring and maintaining asset valuations in respect of the property portfolio
- Undertaking/procuring the management of the Council’s commercial, agricultural and operational property portfolio including rent reviews, lease renewals and new lettings
- Maintaining and updating of property records
- Performing a project management role in respect of capital and other property schemes
- Establishing, maintaining and monitoring a repairs programme in respect of Council properties in accordance with procedures
- Oversight of preparation of condition and dilapidation schedules for serving upon tenants including monitoring to ensure that such scheduled are adhered to by lessees,
- Enforcing repairing liabilities and the recovery of repair expenditure contributions from commercial tenants
- Monitoring and update all computerised central property records and data
- Overseeing the agreement of leasing and rental terms with community groups having regard to the Council’s policies and general consents allowing the disposal of property
