Planner / Senior Planner - Gloucestershire

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Planner or Senior Planner to join an expanding planning consultancy in Gloucestershire.

This is a full-time and permanent position which offers the chance to work on an exciting variation of projects. You will be working on a wide portfolio of schemes, including residential, mixed-use, commercial and environmental projects. Your role will include feasibility studies, writing planning statements, preparing and submitting planning applications, preparing design and access statements, attending site visits and pre-application meetings, preparing evidence to support appeals, site promotion work and the provision of expert advice on housing need and supply matters.

The successful candidate will hold a completed RTPI accredited masters degree and will ideally also be MRTPI or very close to achieving it. Ideally your experience will have been gained in a similar consultancy environment but local authority experience will also be considered. You will ideally be working in the South West/Midlands market but relocators will be considered with connections to the area. You should have excellent report writing and presentation skills and be confident in client facing situations. You will be working as part of a team but should also be able to work independently to often tight deadlines. You should also have a good understanding of local and regional planning policy and be comfortable running small/medium scale projects with minimal supervision and assisting on larger scale projects with support.
