DEVELOPMENT & ACQUISITION MANAGER – client side

Location: South of England – home based, with extensive travel.

Remuneration:  £50,000 - £70,000 + benefits and bonus

 

The company

This is an exciting opportunity to join the UK’s largest independent builder’s merchant.  With ambitious growth plans, the next phase of development will see the business double in size over the next 5 years, extending its geographic coverage through a combination of new branch openings and acquisitions.

Property is a key early stage in the development of each branch, and you will therefore have a vital role to play in ensuring target rollout dates are achieved.

The role

You will be responsible for managing and delivering the new branch expansion programme through effective negotiations and project management, your main duties will include:

  • Identifying opportunities, conducting site findings and developing strategies for new branch expansion.
  • Delivering optimum financial and legal terms through effective negotiation.
  • Project managing a range of external resource
  • Ensuring legal, statutory and regulatory compliance
  • Completing feasibility studies to evaluate options and make recommendations

About you

With the resilience to operate in a fast-paced environment, you will be delivery focused, have excellent project management skills and be able to demonstrate strategic understanding.  You will possess the impact and influence necessary to effectively manage internal and external relationships.

You should also possess a property related degree qualification (or equivalent experience), be effective managing multiple projects and be able to demonstrate previous experience of client-side acquisition and delivery success.
