Hays are working in partnership with a prominent Belfast construction consultancy in the search for a Quantity Surveyor. This practice provides quantity surveying and project management services to both public sector bodies and private companies throughout Northern Ireland with an emphasis on the education and leisure sectors.

Your new role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team with responsibility for assisting in the cost management of a range of projects both locally and throughout the UK and Ireland. You will be involved with full pre and post contract Quantity Surveying and as part of your role you will attend site meetings and design briefings, alongside estimating and producing bills of quantities. Initially you will be working remotely but will join the Belfast team in the office as lockdown restrictions ease.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this position you should possess a degree qualification in Quantity Surveying and a minimum of three years' experience working as a Quantity Surveyor in a Consultancy environment. Ideally you should be MRICS for on APC route. You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills alongside strong organisational capabilities. It is vital that the selected candidate has a professional and flexible approach to work to allow for further training and development.
