Associate Quantity Surveyor

THE ROLE

I am seeking an Associate Quantity Surveyor to join a large firm of consultants in Cambridge or Peterborough.

You must be able to management cost management duties (pre and post contract) on projects across the whole project lifecycle.

You should be able to manage and mentor more junior staff.

You will work to build relationships with clients.

You will be the client point of contact.

You should be enthusiastic to join a dynamic team.

This is an exciting role working on projects for healthcare, higher education, science and commercial developments.

Projects are valued from c. £5m to £250m.

THE COMPANY

My client is a large firm of construction and engineering consultants with offices across the UK and overseas.

THE CANDIDATE

You will will be a self motivated chartered quantity surveyor either already an Associate QS in a smaller firm or be a Senior QS ready to step up to Associate level.

You should be able to mentor and manage more junior staff.

You should be able to work alongside a Director to manage and deliver cost management duties on various capital projects across the East of England.

You should be working for another firm of construction consultants / PQS and have a stable work record.

You will need to have a Degree or Diploma or similar ideally in Quantity Surveying and you will be MRICS or similarly qualified.

You should have excellent client facing skills and be keen to work as part of a dynamic team.

You will be able to do all aspects of cost management and quantity surveying from inception to completion of projects.

You will need to have an understanding of JCT and NEC forms of contract.

Salary is very negotiable according to experience plus pension, medical insurance, life assurance, professional fee and flexible working.
