Director Quantity Surveyor

THE ROLE

I am seeking a Director Quantity Surveyor to join a large firm of consultants in Cambridge.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established team of cost management professionals who already work for a wide range of clients.

You will be part of the leadership team and will help to develop and grow the team and the service across the East of England.

Current construction sectors are for higher education, healthcare, science and commercial projects.

The role will include staff management, being the key interface with clients, helping to bring in new clients and projects etc.

THE COMPANY

My client is a large firm of construction and engineering consultants with offices across the UK and overseas.

THE CANDIDATE

You will need to be an experienced Chartered Quantity Surveyor with experience of all QS and cost management duties from inception through delivery.

You must have proven ability of strong client relations and be able to provide business development and be able to generate winning of new work.

You should have experience of writing and converting bid commissions and be able to win new clients and more work from existing clients.

You should have proven team management experience being able to mentor and motivate your team.

You must be able to manage the delivery of cost management services.

Ideally you will have experience and contacts across various sectors to include commercial, healthcare, science, education.

You should have been working for a firm of construction consultants / PQS and have a stable work record.

You will be keen to join a large firm who can work on projects from around £1m to £250m or more.
