New Build Manager
Trading since 1989, e.surv Chartered Surveyors is the UK's number one residential surveyor and the largest provider of property risk expertise and residential surveying services. To put it into numbers, we complete more than one property inspection every 12 seconds and employ over 600 surveyors from Land’s End to John O’Groats and Northern Ireland. This gives us the flexibility to offer nationwide coverage combined with invaluable local knowledge.
We're part of the LSL Property Services PLC Group, which includes household names Your Move and Reeds Rains, as well as the mortgage network PRIMIS. We work with lenders, intermediaries, social housing entities and estate agents in addition to private customers.
This role is perfect for an experienced surveyor who'd like to move into a varied role within the new build market as a key member of the Risk and Governance function.
A new team is being established to interact with lenders, mortgage introducers, developers, e.surv operations and the wider risk and audit team to ensure our new build reports are completed to the highest standards and all the best support and guidance is available to our surveyors throughout the UK. This is a significant role that includes providing advisory services to external clients and internal stakeholders.
In this varied position, you'll actively monitor surveyor technical compliance and provide technical guidance to the business, external clients and suppliers. The role will report to the Head of Technical Surveying.
Essential knowledge and expertise:
- Detailed knowledge of RICS “Red Book Requirements”
- Detailed knowledge of lender guidance
- Proven experience in the new build residential surveying and valuation market
- Knowledge of current and emerging trends and modern construction methods in new build residential survey and valuation
- A full understanding of warranty provision, leasehold risk and environmental issues
- Excellent communication skills – this is a key requirement for this role
- Good working IT skills including Outlook and Excel
- AssocRICS, MRICS or FRICS qualified.
This is a home-based role, however, regular national travel will be required (subject to COVID 19 regulations), including time based at our Kettering offices.
