Quantity Surveyor (PQS - Construction Consultancy)

The services of Hays have been retained by our client, one of the UK's largest multidisciplinary construction consultancies, to recruit a Quantity Surveyor at a Senior level to join their team in Belfast on a permanent basis. The Northern Ireland region has performed well over the last few years securing work with a range of clients across the Education, Commercial and Healthcare sectors.


Your new role

Reporting to the Business Director, you will lead projects up to the value of £260M on behalf of healthcare, commercial and education clients. You will take full responsibility for cost management of these high value building projects. You will be expected to maintain excellent relationships and lead progress meetings with a range of stakeholders alongside mentoring junior members of the team in their professional development. This role will task you with seeking potential business development opportunities, demonstrating a strong knowledge of clients, competitors and client care policy

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this role you must be MRICS with at least 5 years' experience working in a similar position within a construction consultancy environment. It is essential that you have led high value construction projects and possess good pre & post contract experience with excellent knowledge of NEC3 contracts.
