A fantastic opportunity with in a client organisation has just been created for a chartered building surveyor, to join a Landed Estate in the West End, London.
This client organisation owns and develops a property portfolio that is made up of commercial, residential retail assets. The diverse portfolio is all located within a short walk of the offices.
The business was established in trust of looking after and developing the family portfolio, of which there are now many beneficiaries. It now employs near 100 staff, has a building and projects team of 8, with it’s leader sitting on the board. The level of tenure and time served by the team, as well as greater business, in this day and age is seriously impressive and is testament to how they are looked after and reward by the owners of the business.
The role will see you working closesly with the Director of Building Surveying, working in conjunction with the residential and commercial asset management teams. The role is very much a customer focussed role and is central to the successful management of the Estate.Your duties will cosnsist of delivering development and refurbishment projects, reactive repair works and planned cyclical repair projects. The team also provide support and advice in matters relating to landlord and tenant, building defects and fire insurance reinstatement valuations.
The successful individual will be a building surveyor, desirably MRICS or MCIOB. Your will have experience working with private practice or a client organisation. It is essential that you are used to managing your own workload, working within and contributing to a team environment. You will be used to using Microsoft Office, in particular word and excel, and have a good understanding of landlord and teant aswell as CDM.
