Job Details

Peace Recruitment is currently working with a well-established Cost Consultancy, recruiting for a unique opportunity within their Edinburgh office.  Due to an increase in workload my client is looking for a Chartered Quantity Surveyors up to Associate level to join their already successful team. Within this opportunity, you will be given the support and training to develop your skills in roles such as Project Management and Employers Agent.

My client is very different to other consultancies within the market, as they provide first-class understanding & expertise in areas such as Development and Investment opportunities, including Land Acquisition and Asset Management. These services are provided alongside the more common areas of Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Employers Agent & Building Surveying.

The types of projects you can expect to be involved in will be Leisure, Hotels & Retail  (including a very well-known global brand), Bespoke Residential, Retail Outlets, Restaurants and Care Homes to name but a few, experience in these areas would be advantageous. The value of these projects will range from between £500k - £150m. Due to my clients’ ability to pick and choose the work they get involved in, they do not have to bid for work as is often the case with consultancies.

This unique vacancy would fit an individual who is either looking for a change from a conventional QS role or keen to look at different areas acquiring a range of new skills and expertise in the process. You should be a very dynamic individual that can turn your hand to areas, possibly never previously explored, with the right support and development pathway in place to assist. The ideal candidate would be from a consultancy background, chartered, individuals from a contractor background will be considered, but you will need to have some experience in the above mentioned sectors and some pre-contract experience would be beneficial when it comes to shortlisting.

Candidate Requirements (preferred not all essential):

  • Chartered status
  • Consultancy/Contractor experience will be considered for the right individual
  • Experience within Hotel & Leisure, Retail, or Residential project sectors
  • Willingness to travel across the UK, where necessary, for short periods of time

Rewards in Return:

  • Salary up to £60,000 depending on your experience
  • Bonus Scheme
  • Flexible working benefits
  • Unique training and development pathway on a one to one basis with business Partners and Directors

Apply without delay or call Lewis Potter for more information.
