Freelance Building Surveyor required to carry out condition surveys to residential properties

Your new company
The services of Hays have been retained by our client, a busy construction consultancy, to recruit a Building Surveyor on a freelance basis. Our client offers Condition and Asset Surveying services to a range of public bodies and private organisations across the province.

Your new role
Our client requires an individual to commence immediately to carry out condition surveys to residential properties during the next 1-2 months. You will be tasked with:

Determining the condition of buildings, identifying and analysing defects, including making proposals for remedial works across maintenance and projects;
Advising on energy efficiency and life cycle costing;
Advising on the compliance and health and safety aspects of buildings;
Report writing including the completion of client templates.

What you'll need to succeed
Due to the contract nature of this role and client deadlines, you will be available immediately for the next 1-2 months. You will have a demonstrable track record with experience as outlined above which will enable you to work on your own initiative whilst communicating effectively with the Lead Surveyor.
