We are seeking a highly motivated, knowledgeable and experienced Senior Estates Surveyor to join our Asset Management Team at Dorset Council.

This is an exciting time to join the Asset Management Team as The Council Plan identifies the effective utilisation of the Council’s property assets as one of the six transformational programmes for the new authority. 

What you will be doing

You will work in a new, small, contemporary team of technical experts helping to deliver Dorset Council policies and priorities in relation to its diverse and multi-faceted property estate extending to over 1,400 property assets. You will also provide professional advice to other Dorset Council services, external partners and organisations.

About you 

The role will include undertaking a range of estate management related duties the focus of which is to ensure income from property assets is maximised, voids minimised and the best social and commercial return is achieved as well as the mentoring of other members of the Team.
