An opportunity has arisen at a boutique London based multi-disciplinary Construction & Property Consultancy for an Associate Building Surveyor to join their longstanding building consultancy team, following the indpending retirement of a senior figure, after a 30 year career with the business.
Based a stone's throw from Marble Arch, and working with an established client base some of whom have been customers for 3 decades, you will be responsible for leading the specialist department, providing full property lifecycle support to Commercial Landlords in Central London, as well as working on behalf of leading Global Brands and occupiers within the high end retail sector.
Your role will involve the following services:
- Party Wall Surveyor and Neighbourly Matters
- Licence to Alter and General Landlord and Tenant Matters
- Schedule of Condition
- Dilapidations, Disputes and Negotiations
- Disabled Access Audits
- Reinstatement and Term Maintenance Programmes
- Minor Works Project Management
- Acquisition Surveys and Due Diligence
- Building Pathology
- CDM - Principal Designer
As well as providing the above to existing clients in order to maintain strong relationships and revenue streams, you will also have the opportunity to develop new clients through existing relationships and business development on behalf of the company.

You will receive an annual salary of £65-75K depending on existing experience at associate level, and will receive private healthcare cover along with a 5% salary from your new employer.

This client is looking for a specialist commercial surveyor with experience in dilapidations and pre-acquisition predominantly but preferably the skills noted above.
You will need to have worked at an associate level previously and have prior management experience, as you will be leading a senior surveyor in the department.
You will need experience in commercial / retail property, understanding common defects and regulations involved with retail fit-outs, reinstatements and maintenance.
You will need to be a full member of the RICS with a buiding surveying background.
