The Head of Partnerships will be responsible for initiating and building relationships with leasing
partners, local authorities, housebuilders, developers, landlords and sales managers across the
Affordable and Supported Housing functions. The main goal will be to support our partners with
institutionalising their property portfolio through opportunities within the social housing space.

This rapidly growing residential real estate investment company providing affordable housing across the UK are currently recruiting a Head of Partnerships to join their entrepreneurial team of housing, development and finance professionals. Investing in high yielding residential properties my client works in partnership with national house builders and public-sector organisations strategically acquiring, asset managing and disposing of property across England.

Description

The Head of Partnerships will be responsible for initiating and building relationships with leasing
partners, local authorities, housebuilders, developers, landlords and sales managers across the
Affordable and Supported Housing functions. The main goal will be to support our partners with
institutionalising their property portfolio through opportunities within the social housing space.


The Head of Partnerships will create new institutional relationships for portfolio acquisitions.


The Head of Partnerships will oversee wider market analysis and assessment to support the HSPG
leadership team and report into the CEO with new market and development opportunities.


The Head of Partnerships will seek opportunities within providers' organisations, assess what terms
they require and combine this with the needs of our landlords and house builders to marry the two
relationships in harmonious partnerships.

Key Tasks and expected outputs:

  • Grow external Asset Management capabilities through engagement with new and existing partners;
  • Work alongside Head of Asset Management to lead the consultancy and external Asset Management business growth strategy;
  • Be responsible and accountable for the Partnerships team, ensuring relationships and loyalty are created, built and maintained with partners, maintaining a healthy, consistent pipeline;
  • Implement continuous improvement and innovation to improve efficiency and extend the company offer to fundholders, partners, stakeholders and Service Users;
  • Work alongside the Head of Acquisitions and Head of Asset Management to continuously develop the appraisal system, reviewing accuracy and effectiveness of past bids and improving the process;
  • Provide support for leasing partners, always aiming to exceed their expectations both personally and from the business perspective;
  • Procure and manage new and existing relationships with Private and Public Sector Partners including, but not limited to Housing Providers: Charities, CICs, Housing Associations, Care Providers and Local Authorities; Property managers, sales managers, house builders and landlords;
  • Advise on and create management procedures to ensure relationships are maintained and developed strategically and in a way that is possible to track;
  • Identify market sectors to extend the company offering, together with subsequent development of new areas of business.
  • Ensure the external consultancy department operates as a successful department, supporting the wider property management requirements, reporting business performance to Directors on a monthly basis;
  • Engaging with the Heads of Departments to develop effective and streamlined acquisition procedures.

Profile

You will require exceptional organisational, written, numerical and analytical skills, together with strong attention to detail and a meticulous approach. In addition, you will have:

  • A motivational, influential leadership style with the will to continuously develop;
  • Detailed and in depth understanding of the appraisal process;
  • Detailed and in depth understanding of the partners associated within the Supported and Affordable Housing Market, together with their needs and future visions;
  • Detailed and in depth understanding of the boundaries associated with a regulated market and the creativity to effectively manage these boundaries;
  • The ability to create and grow new relationships with the aforementioned parties, to identify and progress new opportunities for the business
