Chartered Building Surveyor

THE ROLE

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Chartered Building Surveyor to join a firm of consultants based in Peterborough, Camrbridgeshire.

Duties will include undertaking professional and project work for a variety of clients across a number of sectors in the public and private sectors. Projects could be in the higher education, defence, government and for other client types.

You will need to have good technical experience and a good understanding of construction and property generally.

You will be involved in doing drawings, specifications, tender documents, project management, surveys, contract administration, construction monitoring, snagging assessments and more.

You must be able to work with little supervision and be able to do work withing required timescales.

You will have some line management duties.

THE COMPANY

Our client is an international multi disciplinary firm of construction and engineering consultants.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be a Chartered Building Surveyor with a Degree or Diploma or MSc in Building Surveying plus you will need to be MRICS qualified.

Ideally you will have at least two years post qualification experience or more.

You will need to have experience of surveying from design work to condition surveys, feasibilities, contract administration, report writing, management of sub consultants and contractors, and have managed asset surveys on larger survey programmes.

You will be able to manage less experienced surveyors and be able to manage and monitor fees, profits and invoicing.

You should have good client facing skills and be able to deal with people at all levels.

A full UK driving licence and own transport is required.
